Channel 4oD app review: downloads finally launch on Android
Available on most Android devices running operating system version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and above, the 4oD app is optimised for Google Nexus 7, Google Nexus S, Google Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy [App] 4oD facebook for android, Google Plus for Android Games, Temple Run 2, Twitter for Android, Skype for Android, Facebook Messenger, Chrome for Android, Instagram The 4oD app is free to download and hosts a wide selection of programmes from Channel 4, E4 and More4. This means that users will be able to book recordings remotely to their YouView box using the BT TV app even if they do not have a BT TV subscription.
Channel 4 has launched a 4oD app for Android tablets and smartphones. The app allows users to catch up on the past 30 days of TV across Channel 4's portfolio as well as access archive Channel 4 content for free, including shows such as Father Ted, Skins and The IT Crowd.
All 4 is a free app - our content is free to watch because Channel 4 is a not-for-profit organisation and all of our programming is funded with money made from advertising. Outputting from a device to a TV requires specific rights, which we don't currently have for all of our programmes. Watch for free, from Channel 4, More4 and E4 to VICE and Adult Swim. Choose from 100s of full series, stream live TV, and download to watch anywhere.
